A Night with 8bit_Mickey from The Tester 2
By Cynella, HSM staff writer
A great time was had by all who went to Community Theater 8 for a meet-and-greet with the latest Tester contestant that was eliminated: 8 Bit Mickey. I was lucky enough to catch him not just in one theater, but in two. I have compiled a few great questions that were asked by the audience, including myself.
Q: How old are you?
A: I’m 22 and will be 23 on December 24th.
Q: Are you single?
A: Yes, ladies, I’m single. (In case you were wondering, Mickey loves both blondes and brunettes.)
Compliments were being tossed around all night on Mickey’s hair, and he admitted it was his “mighty Jewfro.”
Q: What is your favorite kind of game?
A: RPG.
Q: What is your favorite game of all time?
A: Ratchet and Clank.
Q: Why did you wear a tie in the videos?
A: That’s my trademark.
Q: Have you ever gone to E3?
A: I have been to E3 the past two years.
Q: Do you like Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood?
A: Brotherhood was good; they fixed a ton of issues so I’m happy.
Mickey was the first ever online casting contest winner for The Tester, and came in at #1 for votes. Mickey chalked up his success to an awesome fan base and the people over at http://www.thegameheroes.com/ where he makes videos.
Q: Did you like the loft you stayed at while participating in The Tester?
A: The pad kicked ass. I was pretty taken aback; I headed straight for the kitchen.
Q: While on the show you were able to use the new Playstation Move; how do you like it?
A: The Move is cool.
Q: What is the funniest moment from your time at The Tester?
A: Moe picking up the rock.
Q: Who are your favorite people that you met on the Tester?
A: I liked all of the contestants, and Greg Goodrich gave me his card after I was eliminated.
Q: What did you think about being on the show with contestants that did not own a PS3?
A: Some people can’t afford it; you don’t need to have a PS3 to be a tester or an awesome gamer.
Q: What is something that you will take away from the show?
A: A new outlook on the industry. I made some new friends and contacts; it was totally worth it.
Q: How often do you use Home?
A: I pop on Home every now and then.
Q: What’s your favorite thing about Home?
A: The wonderful people in it.
Q: If you could design a space in Home, what would it be?
A: The Moon.
