Unlike some other laminates, KraftMaid Cabinetry’s
thermofoil door has a smooth texture.
•
Thermofoil finish provides a uniform look from door to
door and is easy to clean.
•
Thermofoil reacts to heat. To protect a thermofoil finish
and maintain its warranty, a KraftMaid Cabinetry heat
shield is required on cabinetry located next to an oven.
•
Prolonged exposure to tobacco smoke will discolor
thermofoil finishes, and this side effect is not covered
under warranty.

Remember to account for miter cuts and returns when
choosing the amount of molding needed for a job.
When ordering thermofoil doors, remember to also order a Heat Shield(s)
(HSD) to apply to the cabinet(s) adjacent to the oven. This is required for
warranty on laminate door styles.
We recommend going back and re-measuring a room
if drywall is installed after the first measurement.
