STO acceptance test

Procedure

  1. Stop the Clean Power VFD if its is running.

    Give a stop command

    Switch off the power input line

    Isolate the Clean Power VFD from the main line by a disconnector.

    1. Motor is stopped and the motor system is safely disconnected from power.

  2. Wait 5 minutes for the Clean Power VFD capacitors to be discharged.

  3. Check that the STO circuit is correctly wired against the wiring diagram.

  4. Check that proper cables are used and terminals are tighten with the recommended torque.

  5. When previous steps have been checked and pass the verification, then switch on the disconnector to power up the Clean Power VFD.

  6. Open the STO circuit.

  7. Give a start command to verify that the STO function blocks the Clean Power VFD's operation.

    1. The drive displays a warning. The motor should not start.

  8. Reset and restart.

    Close the STO circuit.

    Reset the Clean Power VFD status.

    Give a start command.

    1. Check that the motor runs normally.

  9. Test during running.

    While the motor is running normally,

    open one of the STO inputs.

    1. The motor should stop

  10. Give a start command. The motor must remain standstill.

  11. Reset and restart.

    Close the STO circuit.

    Reset the Clean Power VFD status.

    Give a start command.

    1. The motor runs.

  12. Test STO channel lost.

    Open one of the STO inputs.

    1. The motor stops and the alarm of lost STO channel is raised

  13. Reset and restart

    Close the STO input.

    Reset the Clean Power VFD status.

    Give a start command.

    1. The motor runs normally.

  14. Test STO second channel lost.

    Open the other STO input.

    1. The motor stops and the alarm of lost STO channel is raised

  15. Reset and restart.

    Close the STO input

    Reset the Clean Power VFD status.

    Give a start command.

    1. The motor runs normally.
