Users must properly set the motor parameters to ensure that its protection will work properly.

Among the list of motor parameters, the full load Amp (FLA) is of paramount importance for motor protection.

The FLA of the motor (Full load Amp) must be set as per the motor nameplate.

An embedded electronic thermal relay protects the motor against overcurrent and short-circuit.

The motor overload protection is factory set a 1.1 x FLA

Depending on the motor application, the user can change this setting between 0.75 to 2 x FLA

Delay for this protection is factory set at 60 s. This delay can set it between 0 to 600 s.

If the user modifies the motor overload protection threshold higher than the drive self-protection, then the drive self-protection will trigger before the overload.
