The process for adding a DREMEL 3D45 printer to your account is primarily controlled from the DREMEL printer side. There are, however, two pieces of information you will need from the Polar Cloud side. Go to your account’s “ACCOUNT” screen; (click your member icon at the top right of any Polar Cloud screen, and on the resulting menu select “Settings”). Note the main email address associated with your account in the Polar Cloud, and your account “PIN Code”; see the lower left of Figure 9.7.
A “PIN Code” is automatically generated for your account when you first create a Polar Cloud account. However, you may also change your “PIN Code”, should you wish; just make sure to click the “SAVE” button (to save your change)!
With your account email and “PIN Code” noted, then see the Dremel 3D45: Connecting to the Polar Cloud guide3 for details on configuring the DREMEL printer to add itself to your account.
Or see a video walk-through at Polar 3D’s YouTube channel Polar Cloud Enabling your Dremel 3D45.
Note that when registering a DREMEL printer with the Polar Cloud, you will supply the DREMEL printer with an e-mail address associated with your Polar Cloud account as well as your PIN Code. The DREMEL printer will connect to the Polar Cloud using SSL/TLS and provide your account information as well as a public RSA crypto key it has generated. (The public RSA crypto key generated by the DREMEL printer will be stored in the Polar Cloud’s “Public Key” field of the printer’s “SETTINGS” screen.) Once your account is validated by the Polar Cloud, a unique serial number will be sent back to the DREMEL printer. Then each time the DREMEL printer connects to the Polar Cloud, it will authenticate itself through use of its private RSA crypto key.
