Welcome to my on-line resume. Here you will find information pertaining to the work I do as an environmental and GIS specialist. My interests and skills are broad, ranging from landscape ecology to water science to infrastructure management. Feel free to peruse the site to learn more about me and my work experience.

Work History

Since entering graduate school at San Diego State University in the field of Geography, I became interested in a career in which I can put my spatial and GIS skills to use. So far so good! From monitoring wildlife movement along the wildland urban interface to instituting better data collection techniques for compliance reporting, I've been able to expand and hone my abilities.

GIS Portfolio

I classify GIS into four main categories: Cartography, Spatial Analysis, Data Management/Data Collection, and Data Distribution. Luckily, I have been able to incorporate all four of these catregories into my job. And I'm always trying to learn more. Currently, I'm trying to extend my skills by learning various web-based APIs to distribute GIS content over the web. Check out examples of my work in all four these categories.

Masters Thesis

As a graduate student at SDSU I became interested in environmental management and landscape ecology. There, I was introduced to GIS and applied it to my research modeling wildlife movement. To learn more about my research trying to predict mountain lion movement, click on the link below.
