Take a captain out on the water and try your hand at inshore fishing. There are numerous spots where fish can be caught, including on the flats, at the beach and in the back bays.
Panama City Beach anglers fish inshore using a variety of techniques. Redfish and Tarpon are often chased while sight fishing is a great way to troll the flats. Speckled Trout will often eat jigs and topwater plugs. But live bait works better in cooler months.

Fines. Fishing in Florida without a license is a level one violation under Section 379.354 of the Florida statutes and considered a noncriminal infraction. Level one violations involving fishing license requirements carry a civil penalty equal to the cost of the license plus $50.
