As much as we'd love to tell you that we're writing about progress on the Arrested Development movie, at the rate The Office's seventh season finale has been picking up A-list comedic talent you won't even notice.
In addition to the established news that veteran comic actor Will Ferrell would join the series for a four-episode arc, two more big names have joined Steve Carell's send-off.
Former Arrested Development (and regrettably, Running Wilde) star Will Arnett will pop up for the finale, as well as a second appearance by Ricky Gervais' David Brent, Michael Scott's overseas counterpart in the original UK Office.
Rumors aside neither will necessarily fill the void left by Steve Carell's departure on a permanent basis, though Arnett may have some free time on his hands after the cancellation of Running Wilde. Not to mention, Arnett already has it in with NBC given his wife Amy Poehler stars in the also-recently renewed Parks and Recreation!
Gervais makes his second reprisal of David Brent on the American Office, having previously appeared in a brief cold-opening this season trading jokes with Michael Scott and making sly job inquiries to fuel fan interest in the original Wernham-Hogg head assuming the throne.
What do you think? Would you like to see Will Arnett succeed the Regional Manager of Dunder-Mifflin where he failed at The Bluth Company?! Or is Ricky Gervais the rightful heir? Not to mention Will Ferrell! Send a memo with your thoughts below!
