AMC's remake of the classic British series, The Prisoner, hits screens in November, and we're already excited to see the latest iteration of The Village. In preparation for the mini-series, we're compiling everything we know and think we know about the forthcoming spy drama. Read this - and OBEY.

  • Caviezel's Character, 6, used to work for a shady information company, Summakor

  • Number 2's catatonic wife, and her condition, will play an important role in the stabilization of The Village.

  • New cast and production photos show a very chic 1950s style to the Villagers clothes and transportation. 

  • Six will spend more time at "the clinic" than he originally suspects.

  • Six will meet a woman whom he remembers as "Lucy" (Hayley Atwell) from his previous life, inside The Village, although she will not remember.

  • The plot follows the exile of an unnamed government agent held prisoner in a remote "village" after he abruptly resigns.

  • The AMC mini-series, starring Sir Ian McKellen and Jim Caviezel, will take place over 6 episodes.

  • The series was shot exclusively in Africa. The desserts and Namibia were used for the exterior shots, and much of the interior wad filmed on sound stages in Cape Town, South Africa.

  • Every character in the village is known only by numbers.

  • McKellen will play Number 2, the de factor leader of The Village, and proxy to the unseen Number One.

  • Lennie James has been cast as #147

  • And Ruth Wilson will be #313

  • Caviezel, the captured agent, is known as Number 6.

  • A nine-minute preview for The Prisoner premiered at San Diego Comic-Con.
  • Rumored

    • Jamie Campbell-Brown will play "11-12." Does this mean he will play two characters?

    • Campbell-Brown may play Number Two's (McKellen) estranged son.

    • Hayley Atwell will also play a hyphenate, named "4-15."

    • According to a production blog, the filming wrapped up with some climactic scenes in a "gloomy graveyard" in Capetown. 

    • They also filmed some "gory fight-or-flight scenes" in a hospital.
