Rescue Me: New Season Six Trailer Looks Familiar

It's been nearly a year since the last season ended, and Rescue Me is gearing up for the premiere of a new season -- its sixth -- on June 29th by releasing trailers on the show's official Youtube channel.  Yesterday was the debut of a spot called "Cradle to Brave," which features a special guest star whose face should be very familiar to New Yorkers:

Pretty cool, huh?  There's just one problem: as soon as I saw this spot, I realized I'd seen something very much like this before.  This is also a commercial, but directed by one David Fincher, director of movies like Se7en, Fight Club and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, as well as several Paula Abdul music videos back when his career was just starting out and he needed to pay rent:

Let's hope this season's episodes are more creative and original than its trailer, eh?
