Well, it's always nice to see when a Firefly alumni lands on their feet. Or in this case, tail?
A few short weeks after the cancellation of ABC's V, Deadline reports that Morena Baccarin has nabbed a role in Showtime's upcoming domestic security drama Homeland, which also stars Claire Danes and Princess Bride actor Mandy Patinkin. Baccarin replaces Laura Fraser, who departed the series after its pilot.
The former Anna of V will take on the role of Jessica Brody, the "smart, strong" wife of Marine Sergeant Scott Brody, who returns home after having disappeared for a full eight years. Upon his return, driven CIA Officer Carrie Anderson (Claire Danes) suspects he might be plotting an attack on America.
The series, from 24 executive producers Howard Gordon and Alex Gansa will debut on Showtime this fall.
What say you? Are you happy to see Morena Baccarin back on the small screen, or is the loss of V just too painful to shed? Check out the series' teaser, and plot your thoughts in the comments section below!
