No LOST? No Problem: Ten Ways to Stay Sane

LOST may be a repeat tonight, but we've got your 9PM-10PM EST hour covered with ten other Island related options.

For some terrible, awful, soul-destroying reason, ABC made the decision to play a repeat of LOST tonight, instead of continuing the ramp up to the series finale. They say it was all part of the plan. We say, here’s ten ways to spend your time tonight while LOST replays Richard Alpert’s adventures in telenovela land.

Lostpedia

Okay, we’re kicking it off with an obvious one, but in case you don’t know the Internet's best resource for any TV show ever, Lostpedia is exactly what it sounds like: Wikipedia, for our Island bound castaways. It’s also an essential companion to any episode of LOST; a repository for clues, callbacks and conversations about every episode ever. Lostpedia is also home to the Hurley "dude" count.  Dude!

LOST - The Video Game(s)

If board games aren’t your speed, why not try a video game? Yup, they’ve got games on computers now, pretty cool, right? There’s a couple of them, but the big one is Via Domus, a platformer that lets you play the part of your favorite Oceanic 815 survivor, Elliott Maslow. You know, Elliott? This is like buying Super Mario Bros. and being told you can play your choice of a brick block or a fire flower. But hey, you can get it for your iPhone, so that’s pretty cool. Sigh.

LOST : The Board Game

Tired of the show's slow moving plot? Annoyed that it feels like the writers are just moving pieces around on a board, rather than pushing the characters forward? Then you’re gonna hate LOST: The Board Game. If you do play it, a word to the wise: you’ll probably take up a whole hour tonight learning the rules – but once you do, the game can be a ton of fun. Or maybe not, Amazon reviews violently disagree. Anyway, it's a time-killer.

I May Not Know Art...

...But I know I like art about LOST. In case you missed this summer’s viral campaign celebrating the show, the always awesome Gallery1988 has put every piece of LOST tribute art online for your looking enjoyment. Oh, and it’s all available for purchase, so take the time tonight to browse, get your finances in order, and then blow your kid’s college fund on a picture of the smoke monster riding a polar bear.

LOST 'Toons

No, there’s no real LOST cartoon yet (though there’s a couple of awful attempts on YouTube). But artist Michael Blaine Myers, Jr. mocked up what the characters could look like in an animated cartoon, so check 'em out and if you’ve got some skills, why not animate the characters? Personally, I’m looking forward to having to choose between LOST: The Animated Series, and The REAL LOST: The Animated Series.
