Jump the Shark: The classic SNL character started as a parody of Jaws, and morphed into one of the more popular early recurring bits. Unlike his sea-bound relatives, the Land Shark shows up at his intended victim’s door, pretending to be a regular human being. Once the target opens the door, though, it’s chomp-chomp time. Land Shark last showed up in a surprise appearance on Season 27 of SNL, eating Tina Fey at the end of Weekend Update. Chum!
