The Love Interest - Kate Austen

If there's one thing we know about television, it's that the "handsome doctor" needs a love interest.  Especially when Grey's Anatomy is your lead-in.  Enter Kate Austen, or "Freckles" to those who've had caged sex with her.  Kate is smart, beautiful and resourceful but she's done some bad sh*t.  In fact, they even devoted an entire episode to Kate's bad behavior titled, "What Kate Did."  And that didn't even cover everything.  Bottom line, Kate is bad news but she's crazy hot so Jack lets it go and we get to enjoy their annoying sexual tension for five seasons.  But thanks to us, you get to skip all that.  You're welcome.

BS to Impress: If the writers' had their way, Kate would have taken over as leader of the survivors after Jack was killed.
