Show your allegiance for the Queen of Westeros! The wait for the April 17th premiere of HBO's Game of Thrones grows ever shorter, as HBO continues preparing audiences by releasing individual character featurettes of the fantasy series' major players.
Up eleventh is Lena Headey as Queen Cersei Lannister of Westeros, wife to King Robert Baratheon and brother to Jaime and Tyron Lannister, who has come to detest her husband since their marriage and connives against both King Robert and Ned Stark for ultimate control of the throne of Westeros.
The series, once again premiering on HBO Sunday April 17th stars Sean Bean as Ned Stark, and boasts an otherwise impressive cast comprised of Mark Addy, Peter Dinklage, Headey as Queen Cersei, and a host of others all vying for the iron throne of the fictional Westeros.
Game of Thrones closely follows the storyline laid out in George R.R. Martin's "A Song of Ice and Fire" and even developed its own complex version of the Dothraki language for the project.
Check out Lena Headey discussing the role of Queen Cersei Lannister below, and after you're done head over to The Maester's Path for "an interactive journey into the world of Game of Thrones, where players can vie to become 'maesters' -- the healers, teachers and advisers of this world. Maesters wear chains as a symbol of their learning, each link representing one discipline. Players at TheMaestersPath.com earn 'links' in their chains by completing a series of online challenges."
