Futurama's Best Robots

From Bender to David Duchovny, Futurama's best robots are known across the sci-fi universe, and their cold hearts never stop warming ours.

Futurama's sixth season finale "Reincarnation" airs tonight on Comedy Central, making us feel like the past eight episodes have gone by in a flash of warp speed! Last week's "Overclockwise" focused on our best Futurama robot bender, whereas tonight re-imagines the Planet Express crew in Max Fleischer, 8-bit video games, and even anime.

But even with "Reincarnation"'s crazy new animation styles, it's all about the Best Futurama robots! With their ultra-durable exteriors and cold mighty logic, the robots practically rule the surface of New New York while making our 31st century that much more weird and wonderful. Some represent unnecessarily elaborate iterations of simple tasks (cough, Bender!), while others prove invaluable to the fabric of the future and perform our every demand!

Think about it! Even trash cans have their own distinct personalities, and why would a greeting card need its own set of legs?! Futurama's best robots make us laugh and marvel at their mighty technology, pausing only to bite their shiny metal asses if we don't agree.

So of Futurama's best robots, who are your favorites? Do you buy into the unholy acting talent of Calculon, or marvel at the boxy simplicity of Moon babe The Crushinator? Could any robot really be greater than Bender Bending Rodriguez himself? Maybe all this talk of Futurama's best robots has you jonesing for some delicious, nutricious alcohol!

Bender

You were expecting someone else to top the list of Futurama's best robots?  You can go right ahead and bit our shiny metal (or daffodil) asses!

A precocious little scamp born only a few short years ago in America's heartland of Tijuana, Mexico, Bender has proved from the very pilot both his capacity or unending selfishness and human compassion for his meatbag friends.  And sure, he may not be able to cook or resist grand larceny, but there's a reason they've made Bender into a god at least twice now.
