Best TV Show Ever: South Park

It's Butters! How can anyone not love the aborable and innocent Leopold 'Butters' Stotch? One person can't, and his name is Cartman. The chubby child has pulled countless cruel pranks on little Stotch, ranging from making him believe it's the end of civilization to doing stuff I can't even type to the boy while he sleeps. It's okay, though, because Butters managed to get some unintentional yet sweet revenge during the AWESOM-O episode. Karma truly is a bitch, Cartman. Do you get what I am saying?

From 1997 to 2012, South Park has always remained on top of current events with sharp mockery and occasionally an eye-opening opinion... which is always hilarious, seeing as the voice of logic and reason is usually coming from a kid like Stan or Kyle. It's tough to believe an animated comedy that has included a singing piece of poo and a drug addicted towel has such a powerful impact on our culture, but it indeed does. Whether you love or hate the hilarious animated adventures in Colorado, odds are pretty damn good you're going to hear about the latest spoof by Trey Parker and Matt Stone one way or another. And let's be honest, who hasn't heard someone say, "Oh my God, they killed Kenny! You bastards!"

No one is safe from the wrath of Matt and Trey's comedic sights. Everyone is fair game. It doesn't matter how much money you have or how powerful of a figure you are; you're screwed if they set their eyes on you. There's a huge list of celebs that have been hilariously mocked, but a few standout examples are Kanye West, Mel Gibson, Tom Cruise, Michael Jackson, and of course, Jesus Christ.

Boundaries are for fools, and it would be sheer blasphemy to think the mighty Matt and Trey are fools. It doesn't matter how soon it is after a sensitive topic breaks, South Park will address the scenario in a funny way, but also make an important point that the majority might have not thought of (we're expecting a KONY episode this season...). The example that stands out to many is "With Apologies to Jesse Jackson." This episode handled the issue of individuals publicly dropping racial slurs and the consequences that come immediately after. Dealing with racism and religion is part of the norm over at South Park, but my personal favorite has to be the treatment of Chef after Isaac Hayes left the show. Current actors: don't leave on a bad note or else the result will be your animated self being turned into a pedophile and then getting violently ripped apart.... and yes, you will crap yourself when you're killed off.
