The core of wrestling is a very basic battle between good and evil, with rule-breaking heels and virtuous faces squaring off in a physical battle for supremacy. We previously compiled a list of the most influential heels in grappling history, but there can be no yin without a yang, so we went back to the well and combed through hour after hour of wrestling footage from the earliest era of the sport to the modern day to create this companion list of the 50 greatest babyfaces the world of sports entertainment has ever known. This list sees the job of the good guy evolve from the Lou Thesz era of amateur grapplers to the Rock & Wrestling era, where charisma and exaggeration replaced technical skill, and on through the Attitude Era, where the boundary between face and heel blurred forever. Ready to rumble? Let's get to it.
