The new costumes and tales for DC's heroes are taking front and center stage in the New 52, but these titles would be nothing without creative villains to spice things up. Tons of the classics are back with their own makeovers, but the publisher's revamp is also offering a healthy dose of new villains to challenge the heroes of DC. There are new bad guys soaring around in space, creating chaos on a planetary level and giving the Green Lanterns a run for their money (and lives). Meanwhile, new assassins and murderers lurk in the shadows and strike at the do-gooders when they least expect it. The New 52 has brand-spankin' new villains every reader can grow to love, but we've gone and narrowed down the coolest and most interesting for you. | 11 | White Rabbit |
Batman: The Dark Knight has revealed to fans the Joker's new lovely lady and one of the best DC New 52 villains. One part Playboy bunny, and one part... well, bunny. White Rabbit is apparently behind the recent break out in Arkham Asylum. So far we haven't seen much of the character (despite sporting such a revealing costume), and we can only wonder if she and Harley Quinn (who is currently kicking ass in Suicide Squad) will fight over relationship status with the Joker. He's a hell of a catch, after all.

This freaky looking ocean-dwelling race is exploring the surface world and they've developed a taste for flesh. Emerging from the ocean floor, the Trench kept moving with one objective: to find food. It just so happens a fishing boat was in their path, and the fishermen were oh-so-delicious. Now they've got a taste for Boston locals and Aquaman needs to save the day from some of the best DC New 52 villains. It's just too bad it looks like their leader is about to teach him a lesson in pain. So be sure to read Aquaman and enjoy the Trench!

When Catwoman isn't trying to seduce Bruce Wayne, she's going to be on the run from one of the best DC New 52 villains: the gang boss, Bone. This durable looking fellow leads a group who already screwed over her lease by blowing up her apartment, then beat her to a pulp. Bone says she owes him a lot of cash, but I think she's innocent. Catwoman stealing? Absurd! Keep an eye on Bone, he's likely going to be a brutal crime lord.

Dollmaker is one of the best DC New 52 villains and just about as twisted as it can get. This character, apparently sewn together from different parts and people, did business with Joker. By business, I mean he cut his freaking face off! Unfortunately, Nicholas Cage and John Travolta are not part of his crew, but his teammates more than match his abstract appeal. Who wouldn't want a blood-lusted tambourine monkey watching their back?

This DC New 52 villain is basically Galactus meets Thanos equipped with a space scythe! This cosmic heavy-hitter is heading to our planet and, apparently, he's not visiting for Disney World. Peraxxus seems bent on destroying the Earth and the newly founded Justice League International is the only thing in his path. Will they save the planet? Probably, but this dude looks like he has the potential to be a major powerhouse.
