8 | Kaneda's Motorcycle |
Akira is one of the most legendary anime movies ever made, and there's lots of buzz around the bizarre American remake allegedly starring Leonardo DiCaprio. The main characters are teenage motorcycle punks, and Kaneda (our hero) tears around Neo-Tokyo on a truly sweet, cherry red, foot-forward model. This duplicate of Kaneda's bike was made for a Kanye video but never made it in. Too bad! Kanye should have let him finish.
7 | Wall-E |
Most of the work on this list isn't going to win you much traction with the ladies, but even the fairer sex loved the romance at the core of Pixar's Wall-E. This absolutely adorable life-size model of the puttering trash robot runs on two on-board motors, but the creator still hasn't managed to give it the ability to love.
6 | Iron Man Armor |
Making replica props is an increasingly lost art in the age of computer graphics, where some things just never exist at all. In the case of the Iron Man movies, 90% of the time the technological hero is rendered by computers, and whenever Downey was in the uniform he only wore it down to the knee. This incredible recreation of the armored suit received so much praise from the community that its creator decided to go into business selling them.
