In the real world, this happened in Northern California, but this movie kicks it up a notch by putting the action in Der Vaterland. From director Dennis Gansel (whose forthcoming English language vampire tale We Are The Night is just around the corner) The Wave will be available on VOD this June 8th and at select theaters June 10th.
