Killer Elite (in theaters September 23rd) is shaping up to be something special. Written and directed by feature film first-timer Gary McKendry, whose short film Everything in this Country Must was nominated for an Academy Award in 2005, Killer Elite combines the action star power of Clive Owen and Jason Statham with the dramatic weight of the legendary Robert De Niro. The film's story, based off the controversial novel The Feather Men (1991) by Sir Ranulph Fiennes, is just as interesting as its first-rate cast. Boiled down to its essentials, Killer Elite is a world-spanning cat-and-mouse game between an ex-special agent (Jason Statham) and a shrewd leader of a secret military society (Clive Owen). Robert De Niro stars as Hunter, a friend and mentor to Jason Statham's character, Danny Bryce. If you can't wait until the film's release, we've got an exclusive clip to hold you over. Check it out above!
