Ripley Vs The Alien Queen |
Yes, this counts. When a girl fight starts with the line "Get away from her, you bitch," you know shit's about to get real. At the end of James Cameron's classic Aliens, Ellen Ripley goes face to face with the Alien Queen, the spawner of all the xenomorphs that we've seen throughout the movie. In her egg chamber, Ripley torches the baby xenomorphs before going up against the pissed of babymomma in a loader exoskeleton. The pair throw some serious blows before Ripley pushes her foe out of an airlock.

2 Days In The Valley is a rightly forgotten 90s slice of indie exploitation cheese, but it does have a truly excellent fight scene. When Becky Foxx, investigating her husband's death, ends up in a hotel room with the mistress of the man who killed him (played by the luscious Charlize Theron), it's only a matter of time before sparks fly. This is a true classic girl-on-girl fight, with the pair pulling hair and throwing each other through tables, and it gets pretty grisly before it's through.

Buffy Summers battled all kinds of fearsome foes over the course of her television series, but few got under her skin quite like Faith, the rogue slayer who betrayed her for the evil Mayor of Sunnydale. When the pair faced off, you knew that it would be to the death. Buffy needed to bring Faith back to cure the poison that was slowly killing her, but she wouldn't go quietly, and the pair dueled atop an apartment building, culminating in Buffy stabbing her rival in the gut with her own knife.

Samus Aran Vs Mother Brain |
Yes, it freaked us out when we discovered that Samus was a girl at the end of the original Metroid, but it also lets us classify the game's final boss battle as a catfight for the ages. For our money, the best confrontation between Samus and the despicable Mother Brain comes at the end of Super Metroid. After cracking her containment tank, Samus gets bombarded with energy by the mosntrous mommy, only for a rogue Metroid to swoop in and save the day, powering our bounty hunter up enough to blast the crap out of the bitch.

Melina Vs Lori |
Total Recall has lots of awesome beatdowns, but one of the most unexpected comes when Quaid's ally, Melina, comes face to face with his evil wife Lori. The pair go toe to toe in a completely sick throwdown with lots of classic girl fight moves, including hair pulling and nail gouging. Lori, played by Sharon Stone, appears to really be enjoying the violence until Quaid pulls her off and makes his divorce final, if you know what we mean.
