God bless Cuba Gooding Jr. I love him. If ever you get in an arguement with a fellow movie lover about some actor, and they wave the fact that someone has won an award in your face, you can slap them back with, "well, yeah, and Cuba Gooding Jr. won the Oscar!" (You can do the same with the Nobel Peace Prize and Yasir Arafat, for that matter.)
As if Gooding hasn't given us enough, he offers us this choice moment from the forthcoming direct-to-DVD gem Hardwired. It co-stars Val Kilmer (who is actually quite good in the forthcoming The Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans) and concerns a microchip in Gooding's brain that is causing him much agita. Yes, Radio has a radio in his head.
Hardwired is available on DVD this November 3rd and it feels like a sound investment to me. Crack open a case of Schlitz, invite the boys over and watch it before you figure out what you are going to do with the rest of your Saturday night.
Below is exhibit A as to why this movie is some kind of genius.
