Skyrim's Best Marriages

Marriage is only for one kind of person: someone who doesn't play Skyrim. Seeing as how you can't play Skyrim in Skyrim, you might as well get married. Here are the best potential spouses in Skyrim's best marriages.

Skyrim, as our Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim review will tell you, is no stranger to adventure. You can punch wild bears in the face, jump on a dragon's back and stab it in the ass or break into sacred burial chambers and steal all the gold, all of which would make for some of Skyrim's best videos. Unfortunately, if you're like me, these things become a little stale. I do these things all day in real life, why should I come home and do them again virtually? To fund Lydia's skooma addiction? Just because she's one of Skyrim's best companions doesn't mean I support her choices.

How, then, do I revitalize my Skyrim experience? Marriage, of course! I spent enough time with enough people to know which ones will make good spouses. Here are Skyrim's best marriages to be a part of, in bone break fever and in health.

Derkeethus

Requirements: Free him from Darkwater Pass

Location: Darkwater Crossing

Derkeethus is a straight up boss. This Argonian wears miner clothes, wields a pickaxe and won't leave his home in Darkwater Crossing, even to move in with his new spouse. He will, however, still act as a follower and open up a shop from which you get half the profits. Derkeethus uses his pickaxe for everything and will dual wield with it if you give him another weapon. Better yet, Derkeethus can't die, so you don't have to worry about your spouse getting in trouble.

An invincible, profit yielding, dual wielding, lizard man? Yes please.
