Least Anticipated Gaming Moments of 2008

If years are like relationships then 2007 was the love of many gamer's lives. Now that it's over, it's hard to look at 2008 as anything more than a rebound year. You know... you fall madly in love right away only to realize later on that things will never be as good as they once were. Even with some guaranteed hits looming on the horizon - Grand Theft Auto IV anyone? - last year will be a tough one to top. Especially when you start to consider all of the crap that's bound to come down the tubes in the next 12 months. Read on for UGO's Least Anticipated in 2008: Gamer's Edition.

How many people have actually played Crytek's Crysis the way it is meant to be seen? Or had a smooth experience running GSC Game World's S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl? Not too many we bet. That's because you need a couple thousand dollars worth of PC equipment to make these games run as they're supposed to. Is it any wonder that the console market continues to grow while the PC gaming market remains in its dark, shadowy niche? Or that Far Cry 2 was recently announced as a cross-platform title? PC gaming is simply too expensive for the average gamer to keep up with and we positively dread the prospect of watching another year's worth of games slip by unplayed.
