The aging report shows open balances for unpaid customer invoices and unsettled supplier invoices. It summarizes outstanding balances in different aging buckets (time periods). The outstanding balances are determined by using the invoice due dates for the source documents.
Before you generate aging reports, verify the following items are created:
The following dates apply to aging reports:
Aging reports show records that are finalized in Kenandy as of a specified date and time.
You generate an aging report for accounts receivable or accounts payable so that you can review account activity that might need your attention and investigate this activity as necessary.
You can select only GL accounts that have a value of AP/AR Aging in the Reports field.
For example if you want to see a snapshot of aging data as of the end of August 2016, then enter 08/31/2016. In this field, you designate the posting date and time of the source documents to include in the report. Transactions that occurred on or before this date and time are included in the report.
To exclude journal entries without supplier invoice references or customer invoice references, click Advanced Filters, and select the Exclude Opening Balances checkbox.
These journal entries are displayed on the report with a customer name of Unknown.
If you select this checkbox, the report contains only the data for the parent GL account (not any subaccounts that are associated with it), and no subaccount data is available when you drill down on the report lines.
The aging report is displayed. The customer or supplier name on the report is in bold, red font when a source document amount for the customer or supplier differs from the GL amount. The amounts in the age columns of the report are based on the invoice due dates for the source documents.
If you recognize accounting entries in multiple currencies, the aging report is divided into a section for each currency. The report includes a column for the GL balance in the transaction currency and a column for the GL balance in the functional currency. The amounts for the remaining columns of the report are in the transaction currency.
More information about some of the column fields follows:
You can click the arrow icon again to collapse the report line and hide the lines included in it.
The Excel file includes all of the lines in the report, regardless of whether the lines are displayed on the screen.
The PDF file includes only the report lines that are displayed on the screen.
Details about the source document are displayed in a separate window.
