Itwas the first timeever that an
AirbusA321was involved inBudapest’s
airshow. The first low flightwasperformed in
May too, at 140knots andanaltitudeof 100m,
showingoff the flaps and the landinggear.
After abeautiful 45° turnnext toMargaret
Island it returnedwith retractedgear and, as a
finale, thepilot performeda full-speed flight at
300knots. Ratedas themost efficient single-
aislepassenger aircraft, theAirbusA321ceo
was first deployed inour fleet inNovember
2015at ourBudapest base,whichnowhas four
A321 aircraft flying itsmost popular routes. The
latest addition to theBudapest routenetwork
areconnections to theRomaniancapital,
Bucharest, from 19September, theBulgarian
capital, Sofia, from 1November 2016, aswell as
the islandsof Fuerteventura from
30October andLanzarote in theCanary
Islands from2November.
