Area Manager – Airport
Services (International)
What do you do for
Cebu Pacific?
I handle the airport services
being provided in Beijing,
Guangzhou, Shanghai, Taipei,
and Xiamen, as well as other
China charter flights. My main
scope of work includes dealing
with airport authorities, who are
in charge of operations, and
ground handlers, who ensure
guests have an enjoyable
airport experience, as well
as making sure that Cebu

Area Manager – Airport
Services (Domestic)
What do you do for
Cebu Pacific?
I’m in charge of overseeing
the airport operations in
some domestic stations
including Cebu, where I’ve
been based since Cebu
Pacific started operations
in 1996.
How has working for
an airline changed your
travel habits?
Pacific procedures are being
followed.
How has working for an
airline changed your travel
habits?
I have learned to appreciate
the advantage of having
numerous options for flights
in a day, which Cebu Pacific
offers as we corner a huge
portion of the market share.
Taking red-eye flights also
gives me a whole new
perspective on my travel
itinerary, as it gives me the
chance to explore the city
from day to night without
worrying about catching my
flight at midday.
Working and travelling have
become one, and this makes
life more exciting. When I’m
working, sometimes I start
my day having breakfast at
home but have my working
lunch at the airport miles
away; then I’ll rest at night on
an island. During summer,
I can bring my family on
weekends to different places
for free.
Work-wise, what are
you looking forward to
over the next couple of
months?
New stations are opening
up. both in domestic and
international destinations.
“At Cebu Pacific, I’m
in charge of processing
all intended payable
transactions to
various suppliers. I
also monitor all team
members’ work.
“Beyond that,
working for the airline has
changed my travel habits
— it fed my wanderlust.
I often travel with my
husband; we enjoy every
destination and we always
look forward to another
adventure.
“It’s also made me look
forward to many travel
advances in the industry.
For example, more
paperless transactions can
help minimize our supplies
costs every month. It
makes me think about our
emphasis on being low-cost
and efficient.”
