“Ozamiz City is a beautiful
place where you don’t have
to spend much to enjoy
yourself —your hundred
pesos can go a long way!”
“Zamboanga’s rich Spanish
culture and pristine pink
beaches will make you
feel like you’re in another
world. Even the dialect is
entrancing.”
“Whether you’re looking to
bond with nature or party
in the city, Pagadian has
something for you. Travelers
will not be disappointed!”
Chill out at Oak & Beans, which
serves coffee and wine varieties from
all over the world.
The best way to
go around town is by riding the
sikad
or
tricycle for only PHP7 per ride.
Go
pasalubong
shopping at either Carmela’s
Bakery for its yummy pastries or Clarin’s
House of Suman for its rice cakes and
sticky rice treats.
The dishes at Don Vicente
Restaurante Latino (Crispin Atilano
St) taste really good. Prices range
from PHP250-PHP500.
Sta. Cruz
Island reveals nature at its finest with its
glistening pink sand and sparkling blue
waters. Rent cottages for PHP100-500.
The best time to visit would be
during Fiesta Pilar on October 12, when
the city celebrates for one whole month.
Pagadian is an affordable city to
explore. Dining is cheap, too. You won’t
need too much money to have fun. Just
take a ride at one of the city’s inclined
tricycles and you’ll know what I mean.
The special
balbacua
(oxtail and beef
stew) in the Big J Grill House (Araullo St)
is one of the most interesting food finds
in the city.
