Navigate the Teacher Panel

From the Classroom Panel, you can open the Teacher Panel, which allows you to view the session being presented to students as well as supporting information.

This topic describes the basic navigational information that applies to all Teacher Panel pages regardless of the program content that is selected.

The Teacher Panel includes the following information:

Left Navigation Panel

The top left corner of the page provides links to manage the Classcraft session and view the students who have joined the session.

➔ Click the Menu button to display the descriptions of the menu icons in the left panel.

Below the Menu button, the left panel provides the following links:

The left panel links are detailed below.

Link	Description
Activities	➔ Click the Activities link to view the table of contents list for the content included in the session. You can move through the content list to view the various sections. Note: The Students Viewing notification displays on the page that your class is currently seeing.
Guide	➔ Click the Guide link to view the Essential Teacher's Guide, which provides the recommended learning goals routine for the session.
Tools	➔ Click the Tools link to view the list of tools available for the session. – Timer – This option opens a timer that allows you to set the time for instructional objects. When you click Timer, a Set up Timer panel or dialog box appears. See Timer for more details. – Grouping – This option allows you to create or select a group of students while teaching. When you click Grouping, a Generate or Select Group Set panel appears, allowing you the option to generate a group or select a group that was already created in Ed. See Grouping Tool for more details. – Student Picker – This option allows you to randomly select students to present during a Classcraft session. When you click Student Picker, a Student Picker dialog box appears. See Student Picker for more details. – Pause Screens – This option allows you to pause the student experience on the Student Panels. When you click Pause Screens, the option changes to Resume Screens, which ends the pause and allows students to interact on their Student Panels again. See Pause Screens for more details. When you click Pause Screens, the students see the following message on their screens. – Desmos Calculator – This option is available when you are working in a Classcraft session for Into Math: Grades 6–8; it activates a calculator tool for you and your students. When you click Desmos Calculator, a Desmos Calculator appears as a dialog box. See Desmos Calculator for more details.
Students	➔ Click the Students link to see your student roster for this Classcraft session. The Student List opens and is broken down into Joined and Not Joined sections identifying the students in both categories.

Activity Preview and Detailed Responses Tabs

At the top of the Classroom Panel page are two tabs that control what is displayed on the main session area:

● Activity tab – This tab opens by default and shows the material being presented to the students for teaching purposes.

● Detailed Responses tab – Clicking this tab shows an aggregated view of the student responses and allows you to select anonymous student responses to present to the class.

Help Link and Close Teacher Panel Button

The Help icon and Close Teacher Panel button are both located in the top right corner of the Teacher Panel.

➔ Click the question mark icon to open the Classcraft Teacher Help.

Close Teacher Panel Button

➔ Click Close Teacher Panel button to close the Teacher Panel. Your Classroom Panel page remains open.

Main/Active Session Area

The main area of the page displays the content as determined by the selected tab—Activity or Responses.

Page Navigation Arrows and Sync Panels Button

In the bottom right corner of the Teacher Panel page are page navigation arrows and a Sync Panels button.

➔ Use the Previous and Next buttons to move back and forth in the content during the Classcraft session.

➔ Click the Sync Panels button to synchronize the Teacher Panel and the Classroom Panel so that your Teacher Panel shows exactly the same content as the students are seeing. When the panels are in sync, this button appear as gray.
