When you are working in a Classcraft session for Into Math: Grades 6–8, you can access a Desmos Graphing Calculator in the Tools menu.
Note: Student access to the Desmos Calculator is turned on by default. However, you can change your students' access settings to the calculator in Session Settings. See Manage Session Settings for details.
Instructions for using the Desmos Calculator are provided below.
1. In the left menu bar of the Classroom Panel or the Teacher Panel, click the Tools link to open the Tools menu bar and view the list of available tools.
If you have an Into Math: Grades 6–8 session opened, the Desmos Calculator option is available.
2. In the Tools menu, click Desmos Calculator. The Desmos Calculator appears as a dialog box on your panel.
3. If necessary, select how the Desmos Calculator displays using the options in the top pink menu bar, as follows:
– Move the calculator to any location on the page by clicking and dragging the dialog box.
– Maximize
the Desmos Calculator by clicking the arrows pointing outward 
in the dialog box. The calculator
expands and displays as the entire screen. At any time, you can click
the arrows in the upper right corner to minimize it.
– Minimize
the Desmos Calculator by clicking the arrows pointing inward 
. The expanded display reverts
to the dialog box version.
– Close
the Desmos Calculator by clicking the 
.
Student View
When you allow your students access to the Desmos Calculator, a Calculator icon appears in the Tools bar on the left side of their Student Panels during Into Math: Grades 6–8 sessions, as shown below.
When a student clicks the Calculator icon, the Desmos Calculator appears as a dialog box on their Student Panel.
Students can adjust how the calculator displays using the options (maximize, minimize, and close) in the top pink menu bar of the Desmos Calculator dialog box, and they can move the calculator to any location on the page by clicking and dragging the dialog box.
