Gaming is about experiencing a world through the eyes of your character, its about make believe worlds, it roleplay.

Its the games you used to play in using your imagination
where you wore a hooded coat over your head to become Batman at school. Or your parents when THEY were kids playing Cowboys and Indians as the movie ran on the TV.

These days we are doing the exact same thing, just in a slightly different concept.

Video-games was seen as this passing fad, now they are a part of pop culture.

Earlier Videogames had a much simpler logic in order to play, it was all based on anticipating a scripted moment or a pattern of attack. These days Computer A.I. has advanced to a point in which the CPU is as unpredictable as any Human player. Making you truly believe, up to a point, that the Polygon your playing against is a very real person.

The next step in evolution will be Virtual Societies with it's own worlds, it's own logic and a free way of thinking (maybe)

Maybe we can correct the mistakes that we have made through history in our world, or end up making entirely all new ones in this new world, we will never know. What was once a slice of Science Fiction could soon become Science fact.
