The mood in CP is not good. The griping, carping, and bellyaching by some has been going on all day. Some people had construed the 100 free items into fantasies of incredible new items, highly desirable, spectacular, etc. Nowhere did Sony ever say that ALL the items would be new. That was a lot of wishful thinking on the part of people who should have known better.

Personally, I am delighted. I got the Mansion Garage (a space I was waiting for), the Dragon's Lair (which is not as bad as I had envisioned), and LittleBigPlanet (a game I wanted to try). As for the rest of it: anything in those items I wanted I already own. But I really appreciate the gesture!

And for the complainers, all I can say is, "They did not have to give us anything at all". Just take what you like from the list and be glad.

I'm one of the lucky ones. Every single thing on the list was new to me. On the bad side of things, I was literally moments from purchasing at least 5 of those things yesterday. I just decided to hold off because I didn't want to save them to my wardrobe yet.

They could've just given voucher points and let you grab X number of items from a pool of items. That way you won't be getting something you already got. I don't care really. Not my problem; everybody else's who bought that stuff in the past.

Oh yeah. And I like getting the garage for free. I have the rest of that silly house, but I didn't want to go to the store for a PSN card JUST for a garage I'll barely use anyway. Totally a marketing ploy on their part, but I was going to get it anyway (they give you the garage as an incentive to buy the other 3 parts of the mansion at retail). I'm just winning left and right.

Oh, and those games they're giving out? Yeah, I had three of them already, which leaves two left. Guess I'm getting the other two. AW YEAH.

"You can please most of the people some of the time. Some of the people most of the time, but none of the people all of the time."

It's human nature to gripe and complain. Personally I think the package is more than generous and I'm happy that you can select by picking and choosing what you want to actually get.

When I get home Sunday night I suspect the downloads and store issues will be a lot better so hopefully I won't have issues getting what I would like.

This is a perfect example of how you will bring yourself to grief by trying to please everyone. The ppl crying loudest about the free stuff would be crying no matter what was given to them. There are some ppl that just love to cry, gripe, carp over anything and nothing will ever satisfy them. These are the types of ppl I listen to the least because while they are great crybabies they seldom come up with good ideas to stop their balling. They usually expect someone else to figure out why they're crying and to fix the problem. You won't find much innovation from a professional crybaby, which is what I think anyone griping over this much free stuff is.
