I'm working on a solution to an "archive" page for previous articles.
It's going to take some time as I'm on holiday at the moment and I've recently caught a slightly serious and bad illness so am relatively out of action.
There are already 32 published articles on the website before the website has actually launched. I think adding them to the sidebar would be really cluttered.
I think I have an idea for a sensible solution to having a decent archive section of articles. It's very complicated since the website and magazine hasn't actually launched and yet there is so much content already available. Additionally, the majority of the content is in a magazine style, designed to be read at relatively any time, but websites are generally used for up-to-date current affairs and news, which makes it a massive challenge to create a website that can manage such content easily.
This is especially difficult as initially I designed the whole site myself with a limited brief and wasn't expecting it to be used so heavily for magazine-style content and was assuming there would be occasional articles published but with the magazine as the main feature.
It seems we're moving away from this, so there are some major considerations I need to take in redesigning a lot of the site to suit this kind of style of publication, which will take some considerable time as I need to design and think layout myself unless anybody is willing to help produce actual graphical visual descriptions and layout choices? As I've said before, I'm a developer and not a designer, so it takes me a long time to come up with any design that's relatively successful and I'm just starting my thesis so it shall take some time.
...... Blimey! Quite a ramble... but that's my stance on the matter, I hope some people can give me some help with some designs (drawings, mock-ups.)
