Kirby Tilt N' Tumble
Vivendi UniversalPeacefully sleeping in his Dream Land, Kirby drifts lazily amongst the beauty of the sky. A beauty that King Dedede cannot abide with. Jealous of the sky's wondrous splendor, King Dedede has acquired a tool that will let him steal the night's stars, plunging the world into eternal drab daylight. When Kirby awoke, he found that it was still daytime. And evermore, it would be daytime, unless Kirby made the journey to find King Dedede and recover the stars to restore the night's sky. So begins the latest Kirby adventure, another action adventure with the morphing marshmallow in a starnge fantasy world. However, the one thing separating this latest adventure is the control scheme. Here, you don't control Kirby directly. Instead, you guide Kirby by tipping your system to roll the little round pink puff through a series of mazes. If you get in a jam you can make Kirby jump by a controller press, and Kirby can still acquire weapons from other enemies, but the real skill is using the tilting to your advantage.
Kirby's Dream Land
NintendoDream Land is in peril! An evil king has stolen the magic Twinkle Stars. If they're not recovered, the people of Dream Land will starve. Enter Kirby! He's a roly-poly hero, out to run, jump, float and swim in search of the treasured Twinkle Stars. He'll puff his way through castles, caves, dungeons and forests. In his path are many wicked and greedy enemies, but Kirby has a special way to defeat them! It's non-stop action all the way to the top of Mt. Dedede!
Kirby's Dreamland 2
NintendoThe original KIRBY'S DREAM LAND was kid-friendly, with its difficulty setting stuck on "Easy." In the smash-hit sequel, KIRBY'S DREAM LAND 2, the gameplay is still fun for all ages but the puzzles are much more challenging and will keep experienced gamers happy. KIRBY'S DREAM LAND 2 consists of seven island levels, and each time Kirby reaches a new level he's given several doors to choose from each one hides a sub-level. When all these are completed, the door leading to the boss is unlocked. Because KIRBY'S DREAM LAND 2 is much longer and more challenging than the first title, the game is battery backed and saves automatically as you progress. Kirby's powers have also been increased; now when he swallows a foe he absorbs his powers powers he'll need to defeat the final boss Dark Matter!

The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening
NintendoThis colorized version of the original Game Boy hit, released in 1998, is a side quest that deviates as much from the traditional Zelda storyline as the N64's Majora's Mask. The story is completely new and original, but the game system is largely the same as in the Super NES hit, A Link to the Past. You explore a vast island named Koholint, opening up access to more new and new areas as you collect special items and solve puzzles. On your way, you gather Rupees and heart containers, use your sword to defeat enemies, and push plenty of blocks around. The DX (=Deluxe) version features one new dungeon and GB Printer support

Looney Tunes
SunsoftThe Looney Tunes have been a staple of popular culture since the 1940s. Now, they have come to the Game Boy Color. You must navigate through seven stages that are reminiscent of Saturday morning cartoons. In each of the levels you must help a different character get through a tough situation: Bugs and Daffy must use Frisbees to destroy enemies and defeat the boss at the end of a stage; Porky pilots a spaceship to destroy satellites and an evil star that wants to eat him; Tweety must fly through his stage avoiding bottles and Sylvester; and Speedy Gonzales must enter an Aztec temple to defeat Dracula. If you love the Looney Tunes, then you need to get a copy of LOONEY TUNES for the Game Boy
Metroid II
NintendoThe second Metroid game, developed from the ground-up for Nintendo's black & white handheld, takes place some time after the NES original. Samus flies to the home planet of the Metroids, SR-388, an unstable place racked by earthquakes and torrents of lava. Many powerful breeds of Metroid thrive here and in the cavers below the surface. Samus roots them all out, eventually destroying the Metroid Queen. A baby Metroid hatches immediately after the battle and imprints upon Samus. Thinking Samus is her mother, it helps her escape. Samus then turns the hatchling over to the Galactic Federation, thinking that researching it might prove fruitful. Gameplay itself is classic sidescrolling, shooting, and puzzle solving, with plenty of alien encounters.
Monopoly
Parker BrothersNow you can play MONOPOLY on your Game Boy! You'll get all the elements of the classic board game, including the familiar player pieces: car, boot, thimble, and dog. As you work your way around the board, your goal is to buy as much property as possible. If you own all the properties of a particular color, you're able to build houses and hotels on them. When an opponent lands on one of your properties, they have to pay you rent. In this ultimate game of real estate management, you win the game by sending your opponents into bankruptcy.
Mortal Kombat
SPIGThe game that rocked the world and changed arcade-style fighting forever returns in hand-held splendor. Choose from eight unique characters (some familiar faces have returned from the original, but a few new combatants make for spiced-up action), as you try to pummel your computer-controlled opponents to death. Each character has special moves that only he or she can pull off, making the game full of plenty of surprises and blood. As with the original, whichever character wins the battle gets the opportunity to complete a Fatality, which is every bit as violent as it sounds. There's a reason that this game was so overwhelmingly popular, and the cold-blooded, hand-to-hand combat is as fun today as it was when it first came out.
Pokemon - Blue
NintendoIt's the game that started a revolution, but it's not just the fad that convinced gamers to "catch 'em all." This deceptively simple and child-friendly roleplaying game design is a far deeper game design than it looks. Pokemon features way more strategy and gameplay than it leads on, offering gamers almost infinite gaming possibilities even after the main adventure ends. Initially released in Japan as Pocket Monster Red and Green in 1996 (and later Red), the franchise arrived in the west in 1998 as Pokemon Blue and Red. The games could be linked up with each other and with the N64's Pokemon Stadium titles for creature trading.

Pocket Monsters Red was released in Japan in 1996 by mail-order only (the two launch titles were Green and Blue). The franchise arrived in the west in 1998 as Pokemon Blue and Red (Roald Dahl holds the copyright for "Pocket Monsters" in the west, so the title was changed to the Japanese colloquial name). The games could be linked up with each other and with the N64's Pokemon Stadium titles for creature trading.

Pokemon Pinball
NintendoIn Pokémon Pinball, one thing is obvious: the design team took the existing pinball engine of Kirby's Pinball Land for the Game Boy, and converted it into another machine altogether. In the game, you whack a Pokeball around a pinball machine that's constructed of Pokémon-related obstacles and structures. There are two machines, Red and Blue, and each machine has its own techiques, challenges, bonus levels, and Pokémon. Yep, the idea in the game is to capture Pokémon. How? Well, each machine has its own way of finding the creatures, but once you find it, it's all a matter of hitting it six times with your Pokeball. They'll appear in the center screen, and if you manage to catch a Pokémon, it'll sit in your built-in Pokedex. Each machine will also give you the ability to evolve captured Pokémon, since some creatures are not out in the wild. What happens when you manage to get all 150 Pokémon?
Pokemon, Silver Version
Acclaim Entertainment Inc.Pokemon Gold and Silver is going to be the top-selling game on the Game Boy Color system, regardless of what this review says. Pokemon is not a fad, it's here to stay, and this new Game Boy Color series is only going to fuel the blaze of popularity further.

Tetris
NintendoOriginally developed on a Russian DCC clone PDP Computer by a humble employee of the Moscow Academy of Sciences, Alexey Pajitnov's mega hit succeeds where other puzzle games have failed: by keeping it simple. There are few games that haunt you even after you stop playing — but 30 minutes with this puzzle masterpiece and you'll see Tetris pieces wherever you look. No matter what platform it's on, Tetris remains one of the purest and accessible videogames ever made, proving that some of the most addictive games are the simplest
