His alpha-male geno-type was the vehicle for his career in business via the route of marrying into the local banking family. Proved himself to be a natural, if lazy, leader. Constantly finds himself wishing things would be easier; feels that he shouldn't have to work so hard to stay on top.
While his marriage to Angie was an even match, filled with mutual respect and love, it was not a perfect fit: each of their respective idiosyncrasies and personal habits managed to get under the others skin and became for each of them a constant source of irritation. The arrival of identical twin girls, Tessie and Sheena, and the attendant additional conflicts eventually strained the marriage beyond the capacity of its inherent strengths and the marriage failed.
All things considered, their divorce was quite amicable. Its defining aspect was Bennie’s and Angie’s mutual decision that each should take custody of one of the twins: Bennie taking Sheena and Angie taking Tessie. Their daughters, as one would well imagine, while retiring to their respective domiciles each evening, manage to spend the great majority of their waking hours together and neither shies away from sharing every detail of their home life with the other. One result of this is that most of details as to what goes on each respective household manage to effortlessly migrate to the other. In addition, both are kept in constant contact with one another through their respective positions in the Fairvale business community. While it seems to most that neither Bennie nor Angie has managed, up to this point, any subsequent relationship of consequence, Bennie has been taking the bus an awful lot lately.
