Look, I only believe in one thing, and that’s money. I mean, when you get right down to it, what else is there? It all boils down to money in the end. Am I right, or am I right? The entire world is nothing but one big battleground. Everyone on the planet is locked in permanent struggle with everyone else. Everyone is out there everyday fighting for what they want, for their heart’s desire, against everyone else, who are simultaneously fighting for what they want, for their heart’s desire. I’m telling you, perpetual warfare is the way of the world. This is the meaning of life. Struggle.
Am I happy? What kind of question is that? Of course I’m not happy. Who could be happy in a world like this one? You’d better believe there are worlds other than this one; what, are you kidding? It’s just a matter of figuring out how to get there, or failing that how to bring them here. Easier said than done, of course. Look, why do you suppose so many poeple say they’ve seen UFOs or aliens, or even that they’ve been “abducted” by them? Because they’re unhappy, that’s why. They’re unhappy with their lives on this planet, in this world, and they can’t imagine how it will ever change. But they can imagine other worlds and so they do.
And then there are those who believe the flip-side, that the aliens are already here, that they’ve been here for awhile, that they control everything, and that’s what’s wrong with the world. Now, if I ran across an alien, the first thing I would do would be to figure out how to get into business with him... or her... or it, or whatever. You know and I know that it would be impossible for any business venture involving an alien to fail to make a buck.
It’s a simple matter of supply and demand. If demand is big enough, strong enough, or long enough, then supply will eventually emerge. It never fails. It doesn’t matter if the demand is for wheat, for oil, for washing machines, for better banking hours, for different styles of clothing or music or even, I believe, for a new world. If the demand makes the grade, the supply will emerge. History has proven this time and time again. You might disagree with me on this point, but I would have to say that you’re just not reading the record straight. And anyways, I don’t really care what you think.
That’s exactly what I’m saying. That if there’s enough of a demand for aliens, then aliens will arrive. No, I don’t know how it works, I haven’t the faintest idea. Nobody knows how it works. Anybody who pretends to have figured out how the market works is a complete and utter fool. Look, just because something is impossible to understand doesn’t mean you can’t believe in it. That’s moronic. Belief begins where comprehension ends, that’s its very essence.
