TESSIE  & SHEENA

Twin daughters of Angie and Bennie.  Were five years old when their parents divorced.  Currently Juniors at Fairvale High.  Since the divorce, Tessie has lived with her mom, Angie, and Sheena has stayed with her dad, Bennie.  Cute but no-nonsense girls who work hard at school and love both their parents and are each otherís best friend.  In the post-divorce environment of their parents, each functions somewhat as a double agent:  Procuring information about the absent parent for the present parent while simultaneously distorting that information in such a way as to present the absent parent in the manner that they desire.  The net result is that each parent must subsequently decode all information received through this avenue in light of their respective understandings of the otherís self-image.  As far as the girls themselves are concerned, this process most likely results in their being involved in their parentsí relationship more than is healthy, but all things considered they manage well and seem to have incorporated the information exchange ritual into their daily lives.  What effect this situation will have on their adult relationships is, of course, unknown at this time.

As far as any incremental differences between the two accrued as a result of the years spent with their respectively assigned parents goes, one can not help but observe that Sheena is more comfortable and natural around males than Tessie, while Tessie is somewhat more rigorous in her work.  Each, however, is fully aware of these nonetheless slight differences between them and will, as in everything else, support the other should the need arise.
