Besides being a source of curriculum, Makers Empire has a 3D design app. The Makers Empire 3D design app is not CAD, but rather is intended to be especially easy to use, accessible to children as young as four years old. Intended for use for grades K-8, it offers a “game-like” interface. Its engaging, visually-rich, light-on-text, design interface offers advantages to English-language-learners, as well as younger students.
You may use the Makers Empire 3D design app for free, and participate in its interactive challenges and contests; however, exporting objects (so as to store them in the Polar Cloud or print them) requires a paid subscription, as does use of the Makers Empire curriculum.
The Makers Empire tile and logo on the Polar Cloud “DESIGN” screen, and the Makers Empire logo on any Makers Empire objects exported directly to the Polar Cloud, is a live link to the Makers Empire website home page (from which subscribed teachers may login to their Makers Empire Teacher Dashboard); see Section 6.2.1.
For discussion of exporting Makers Empire objects to the Polar Cloud, see Section 6.2.3; for discussion of manipulating Polar Cloud objects using Makers Empire, see Section 6.2.4.
