havea fewcarbs, but I never
stray too far from thediet in
caseMarvel callsand says,
“Weneedyou for

Sinceyou’re inthe
bestshapenow,doyou
still thinkthatthere is
something inherently
funnyaboutthenaked

once inan interview?
I think the things that are
supposedly taboo, the things
youarenot supposed to
say, in the rightmoment can
bepretty funny, andmaybe
there is just something
inherently funnyabout a
butt.When I thinkabout
The40-Year-OldVirgin,
pullingmypantsdownand
putting thecamera so that it
was just all over the screen…
it just seems silly-looking

Howdidyourwifeand
familyreacttoyournew,
buffbody?
Mywifewould seemeevery
day, butover time itwould
be like, “Ohwow!” Iwould
leanover and she’d say, “I
can seeyourwhatever that
is, I can see it now, likeyour
lats.” I learned things like
latsanddelts.Myclothes
startedfittingdifferently.
Mywifewasalways
encouraging.
One time, she scratched
mybackand said, “There’s
nomorecushion.”There’s
usuallyabitof acushion;
there’snocushionnow.As
far ashowmy familywas
supportive,wewouldgo
out todinner and theyknew
that Iwasn’tgoing toeat
anything. Iwouldget aplate
of asparagus, andmy treat
wasclub soda.
KevinFeige(producer)
toldmethatoneofthe
reasonswhyMarvel
choseyou isthatyouare
extremely likeableand
charismatic.A lotofguys
wanttobeyourbro.Have
youalwaysbeen likethat?
Thankyou for saying that.
I grewup in theMidwest,
inKansasCity, andwhen I
goback I see thatpeople
arevery friendlyand that
theyarenice tooneanother.
There is less stress than in
someother cities.Myparents
raisedme to treatpeople the
wayyouwouldwant tobe
treated, and tobepolite.
Sometimes,when I get
nervousor insecure, Imight
overcompensateandnotbe
totally true towhat I am really
feeling inside. I get nervous,
so Imaybeget too smiley
andpolite.
I don’t think I amadark
personbynature; I aman
optimisticpersonbynature.
I tryand live thatway. I have
darkmoods likeanybodyelse,
though, sowatchyourself
