nDecemberof2014,United tookdeliveryof its
last Boeing 787-8Dreamliner. All Dreamliners
delivered this year will be 787-9s andwill be
deliveredout of both theEverett Boeing facility
aswell as theCharlestonBoeing facility.
Theall-new787-9 is20feet longerthanthe787-8
andcarriesmore than30additional customersup
to 350miles further, while delivering the same
exceptionalenvironmentalperformance.Allofour
787sprovide travel-enhancingfeatures, including
largerwindows and overhead bins, lower cabin
altitude and higher humidity levels. The 787-9
fleet is equipped with factory-installedWi-Fi
connectivity, andall subsequentDreamlinerswill
bedeliveredwithWi-Fi. Theexisting787-8swill
be retrofitted for connectivity in thenear future.
Webegan toemploy the787-9’s impressivecapa-
bilities inOctober 2014, whenwe launched the
Los Angeles toMelbourne, Australia, route, the
longestDreamlinerroute todate.Unitedcurrently
has 26787-9s onorder, andwe look forward to
welcomingyouaboard soon.
