threestoreyshigh, it offers terrificviews from
the rooftopSkyBarand there’sapopularmusic
club in thevaultedbasement. At night ahost of
LED lights incorporated into the towers’ outer
layer createamesmerisingglitteringeffect.

employees ina45,000sqmbuildingonan
artificial island in theDanishcapital’sharbour.
Itsuniqueshapeprovidesharbour views for

central atrium, symbolises thewayeachUN
unitworks independentlywhilealsosharing
aset of values. Thewoodenspiral staircaseat
theheart of thebuildingwasconceived to
discourage theuseof liftsandbringabout
chanceencountersand interactionbetween
staff. Sustainable features include 1,400 roof-
mountedsolar panels, cooling through
seawater, rainwater toilet flushingandwhite
aluminiumshutters that staff canopenand
close from their owncomputers.
