Master printmaker Aldo

must have had an address
book like no other: artists
from JoanMiró toGeorges
Braque via Le Corbusier availed

theMontparnasse studio he
opened in 1956. Seven years
later he and his brother Piero
relocated toMougins near
Cannes to be near theirmost
celebrated client, Picasso, for
whom theyworked extensively
until his death in 1973. Back in Paris, theyworkedwith British
artists such as RichardHamilton andDavidHockney, and
their NewYork studio entertained regulars including Chuck
Close, Jasper Johns and Ed Ruscha.
This retrospective at Brussels’ Centre de la Gravure focuses
on the Picassoworks, alongside collaborations with American
