1970s strap and case byTallon and
Lip’s original 1970sBaschmakoff
JumpHour display, whichBriquet
opened up and enlarged to reveal all

of 40 years of design expertise and

only did they succeed, their signature
watches became cult favorites and
revolutionized thewatch company.
Fast-forward three decades. Under
thewatchful eye of Lip’s newdesign
director PriscaBriquet, these 1970s
groundbreaking vintage pieces (in-
cluding those inTallon’sMach2000
series andRevival Seventies collec-
tion) are nowbeing reissued, along
with several other classic styles that
have received updates. Perhapsmost
impressive, though, isBriquet’s new
for thefirst time in the brand’s 141-
year history, the iconicMach2000
is returning to the lineup— and the
master isn’tmissing a tick. Thirty-five
years after itwas first introduced,
the futuristic, forward-thinkingwatch
looks anythingbut vintage. In fact, it
looks as if it could have beendesigned
just yesterday. And that’s exactly
what Tallon (the creativemastermind
behind the high-speedFrenchTGV
trains) intended for itwhen back in
the 1970s, Lip enlisted him aswell
