40 Nick Reveiz enters his first year on the Carson-Newman coaching staff as a running backs coach. Nick Reveiz enters his second year on the Carson-Newman coaching staff as a running backs coach. In his first go around at Mossy Creek, Reveiz oversaw a trio of tailbacks in Brandon Baker, Tyron Douglas and Andy Hibbett who combined to gain 2,888 yards. Baker and Douglas were both All-South Atlantic Conference selections while Baker NICK REVEIZ RUNNING BACKS 2nd Year University of Tennessee ‘10 would go on to earn All-Region accolades. A former walk-on and three-time Academic All-SEC selection at Tennessee, Reveiz finished his playing career with the Vols in 2010 with a 108-tackle season, including a career high 14-tackle performance in the Music City Bowl versus North Carolina. Reveiz’s father Fuad was a Vols placekicker before an 11-year NFL career in which he kicked 188 field goals and 367 extra points. After spending time as a businessman, Reveiz said he had to jump at the opportunity to get back into the sport with which he grew up. His senior year at UT, he was one of five finalists for inaugural Burlsworth Trophy, recognizing college football’s most outstanding player who began career as walk-on. Reveiz was also one of 10 Vols to start every 2010 game and was the first Vols defender to post at least 14 tackles in three different games since Jerod Mayo in 2007. A two-time team captain for the Vols, he earned preseason all-SEC honors from the media prior to his senior season. Graduated with a degree in enterprise management. A high school standout at Farragut, Reveiz was Class 5A All-State in 2005 and Mr. Football finalist at lineman position. Reveiz and his wife Brittany (ne Baird) live in Farragut, Tenn. with their son Zane Gary Williams returns to the Carson-Newman staff after a two-season break from coaching. In 2013, he helped tutor All-SAC kicker and Carson- Newman record holder Curt Duncan. Williams was on staff originally from 2000-09, coaching All-SAC kicker Carlos Lopez GARY WILLIAMS PUNTERS 13th Year University of Tennessee ‘76 in 2009 and All-SAC punter, and current member of the Dallas Cowboys, Chris Jones from 2007-09. Williams was a two-sport standout athlete at the University of New Mexico in the 1970s, before finishing up his education at Tennessee. Williams coached punters and kickers at New Mexico in the 1980s. Williams and his wife, Becky, have five children; Ed, Kerri Couter, Devin, Sydney and Whitney. Mac Lambert returns for his 19th overall season with the Eagles football program. In his recent stint at Carson-Newman Lambert has helped coach one of the best running games in the nation. In 2011, the Eagles were the No. 5-ranked rushing attack. From 2007-2009 no NCAA Division II team gained more yards on the ground than the Eagles. Lambert helped guide C-N’s 2012 running back corps to its best year rushing in six seasons with more than 375 yards on the ground a game and 52 rushing touchdowns. MAC LAMBERT ASSIST. RB 19th Year Carson-Newman ‘55 Lambert is a member of the 2011 Carson-Newman Hall of Fame. While playing at Carson-Newman, Lambert earned three football letters and was captain of the 1954 team. In his first stint on the Carson-Newman staff, Lambert was an assistant coach on Dal Shealy’s 1970s C-N staff, helping guide the team to the 1972 NAIA national championship game. Lambert was also an assistant coach on the 1986 Carson-Newman NAIA national championship squad. In his more than 40 years on the sidelines, Lambert has coached at Cocke County High School in Newport, Tenn., Maryville High School in Maryville, Tenn., Jefferson County High School in Dandridge, Tenn. and Morristown East High School in Morristown, Tenn. Lambert earned his master’s degree at Middle Tennessee State. He is married to the former Melba Brannon.
