Watershed for Every Classroom

A Watershed for Every Classroom (WEC) is a year-long professional development experience for educators in the Lake Champlain Basin (Vermont, New York and Québec), brought to you by CBEI. It offers teachers inspiration, knowledge and skills to frame exciting watershed education.

See below for more information and application

“This was such an awesome course! I would highly recommend anyone and everyone to participate!”
– Chris Murphy

“Experiencing all of the trips and conference topics first-hand prepared me very well to do the same at our school.”

“This experience has been the best professional development I have had the privilege of taking. Thank you for the year-long inspiration and reminder of all the reasons that drew me into education in the first place.”
– Devon Morrill

“Field-based experiences were really fantastic and gave me lots of ideas of activities and lessons I could do with my students.”

“Amazing resources helped me see the ‘do-ability’ of student-led projects and citizen science.”

“It was really cool to meet all of the great teachers, especially being a young teacher still developing ideas.”

“Networking, field-based experiences, and area experts - connections which are all vital to powerful, place-based education.”

“Feedback was timely, expectations were clear, support was incredible!”
