Terms of Service

The basics of how we work, what's included, and what to expect.

1. Payment

Placing an order means you agree to all charges in the order form. Familiarize yourself with our style before booking — refunds aren't given because you don't like our style, content, or composition.

2. Ordering

  • You're responsible for accurate info: address, lockbox code, contact, square footage, description, and instructions. Incorrect info may require resubmission and additional fees.
  • Request specific shots and unfinished spaces in advance.
  • "Next Available Day" means within 2–3 business days. Scheduling happens two days in advance.
  • "Vacant (Just Go)" with Next Available Day means the property is ready to shoot immediately.
  • Guaranteed times require at least one hour and must fall between 8:30am and 4pm.

3. Drive Fee

No drive fees for Schenectady, Albany, Troy, Saratoga Springs, and surrounding areas on weekdays. Routes are scheduled for efficiency unless you book a guaranteed time.

Drive fees apply when round-trip from Union College (or the nearest shoot) exceeds 30 minutes — $10 per 15-minute increment, rounded up.

Weekend shoots have a flat weekend fee on top of your package cost (see order form for current rate). Drive fees may also apply to weekend shoots — including in normally-no-fee areas — since routes aren't batched on weekends.

4. Scheduling

  • We call to schedule between 4–6pm, Monday through Friday.
  • Saturday and Sunday shoots are available with a weekend surcharge (see order form for current rates).
  • Confirm by 3pm the day before. Unconfirmed shoots are not scheduled and the time is forfeit.
  • We give a one-hour arrival window and will arrive within it.
  • "Vacant (Just Go)" shoots don't have arrival windows unless requested in writing.
  • Weather reshoots are free for drone. Requests for "the next sunny day" are not honored.

5. Cancellation

  • No charge if we cancel.
  • We decide on weather cancellations.
  • Cancelling within 24 hours of your shoot incurs a fee of approximately half the ordered package cost. Fees are cumulative across packages.
  • Guaranteed times, guaranteed off-shoot days, and drive fees are non-refundable if cancelled within 24 hours.
  • If we arrive and the shoot is cancelled on site, full charges apply.

6. Staging

We don't stage. Your house must be fully ready at least one hour before your scheduled shoot time — we shoot as-is and won't wait.

7. Photos

  • Delivered within 24 hours of your scheduled shoot.
  • Hosted for 1 year. Re-upload and extend for $5/year.
  • We'll take requested shots even if we recommend against them.
  • We follow MLS editing guidelines unless you request otherwise.
  • We won't shoot areas you've asked us to skip — even later, without a new order.
  • Up to 40 ground-level photos included. Additional photos $1 each.
  • Unfinished spaces (basement, garage) aren't shot by default.
  • If we miss a reasonably noticeable finished space, we'll come back free.
  • Time on site: Basic 20 min, Standard 30 min, Premium 45 min.
  • Shoots running long due to things outside our control: we may leave at the allotted time. If we stay, charge is your package + add-ons or $250/hr — whichever is higher.
  • Edits: Request within 7 days. First 3 edits free (Standard/Premium), $50/edit after. Correctable issues: focus, lens flare, skew, exposure, visible advertising, color imbalance (Standard/Premium only).

8. Aerial (Drone)

  • Not all properties can be flown (FAA rules).
  • The pilot has final say on whether it's safe to fly.
  • Weather cancellations reschedule free.
  • Stills: 5–30 included. Extras group in 10s at $25/group.
  • Video: unlimited up to 30 min. $50 per additional 15 min, rounded up.

9. 3D Tour

  • We scan finished spaces requested in the order form.
  • Basements and non-above-ground spaces require a specific request.
  • Exterior 360s only if weather allows.
  • Time budgeted by square footage. If actual footage exceeds the order:
    • Within 1000 sqft: we update the order to actual footage.
    • Over 1000 sqft: actual footage plus $250/hr.
  • We won't reduce pricing because rooms weren't scanned.

10. Copyright & Licensing

  • All rights not specifically granted stay with WalkthruPhoto.
  • You're licensed to: market the listing until sold, rented, or expired, and market yourself as long as WalkthruPhoto is credited.
  • You may not: distribute or trade content to third parties for goods or services, or sell content to clients, coworkers, other realtors, etc.
  • Relicensing is available for 90% of the original price.
