One of the cool things about the Flux WiFi bulbs are that multiple devices can connect to it at the same time, and control it. But that does not mean, we will compromise on security and let your neighbors play a prank on you by controlling your smart bulbs. So we give you the option to secure your smart bulbs with a password.
To setup a password for your bulb's wifi network, you need to be connected directly to your bulb (and not through your home network). Here is how you connect directly to your bulb.
From the Devices List page, go to Settings.
Select the bulb you want to secure.
Select the "General" settings.
Under "Network Mode" section, disable the slider that says "Link to Wireless Router".
This will disable the link to your home network and you will be directly connected to your bulb. To secure your smart bulb by setting a password, follow these steps:
Go back to the General settings for the bulb.
You will now find the "LED Device Security Settings" section. Click "Change"
Enable "Request Password", type in the password and select "Confirm".
IMPORTANT: When you set up the password, it will restart the bulb's wifi and disconnect your device, You need to follow the steps to connect to the bulb, this time entering the password.
