FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
As one of their largest financial investments people always have a bunch of questions prior to coming to a conclusion , listed here are a few of the most common ones…
Unless you’re a certified contractor, most roofing jobs should not be carried out yourself. Also keep in mind that a large number of manufacturers of products used in the roof repair will not warranty those products unless a licensed professional performs the task. Something else to remember is that working on a roof is going to be very hazardous, so is it really worth endangering your health for you to save money?
It would be great if we were able to give you a straight forward answer to that question! But there really is no one answer fits all for every question like that. There are so many different products readily available and each and every one has its own advantages and faults. To know which is the ideal roof for your home, you really should have a contractor come and check out your roof and they can make suggestions based on what they have seen, your roof design, the environment you live in and, of course, your budget.
It really depends on the type of roof and exactly what surveys are mandated. Also, bear in mind that we’re working outside in the elements, so if the weather is bad and we just can’t work on a number of days then this will add time to the job. A smaller home might take about a week or so, whereas much larger industrial jobs could be anything from several weeks to a few months. Just ensure your roofing company keeps you updated and you should be fine.
Given that your roof is continually subjected to the outside elements, this means your roof is will deteriorate with time. The rate at which it degrades will depend upon a range of factors. Those include; the quality of the original materials used as well as the workmanship, the level of abuse it will have to take from the weather, how well the roof is maintained and the type of roof. Most roofing companies will estimate around 20 years for a well-built and well-maintained roof, but obviously that can never be guaranteed because of the above factors. Our suggestion is to consistently keep your roof well maintained and get regular inspections to be sure it lasts as long as possible.
You should never pressure wash your roof, as you take the risk of taking off any covering materials that have been included to give protection from the elements. Furthermore, you should stay away from chlorine-based bleach cleaners as they may also cut down the lifespan of your roof. When you speak to your roof cleaning specialist, tell them to use an EPA-approved algaecide/fungicide to wash your roof. That will eliminate the unattractive algae and yellowing without ruining the tile or shingles.

More About Gainesville, VA
Gainesville is a census-designated place (CDP) in western Prince William County, Virginia, United States. The population was 11,481 in the 2010 census.[3]
Gainesville was once a changing point for stagecoach horses on the Fauquier & Alexandria Turnpike. In earlier times, the village that became known as “Gainesville” actually had two other names, if only briefly. In colonial days, the region was known as the “Middle Grounds,” in reference to its location between Broad Run and Bull Run. In the early 1800s, Samuel Love of Buckland Hall started work on the Warrenton-Alexandria Turnpike. In the hamlet where the turnpike passed through the Middle Grounds, a new stable was erected for stagecoach drivers to switch horses. Other businesses followed, and the settlement became known as New Stable. In 1846, a post office by that name was opened there in Richard Graham’s hotel and store. Mr. Graham also operated a large stable that catered to the drovers and stage drivers and other less pretentious travelers. The person responsible for bringing the railroad through the village was Thomas Brawner Gaines (1814-1856), who had begun buying up property in the area as early as 1835, and later became a major landowner.[4]

Naturally, gradually the roofing system begins to compromise from continued weather battering. A structurally sound roofing does not collapse simultaneously however rather breaks down piece by piece along its weak lines. Roofing system assessments find these vulnerable points early prior to they spread and trigger serious damage to part or the entire roof.
Roofing system examinations at routine periods root out roof problems prior to they can even manifest themselves; extending the lifespan of your roofing. A lot of property owners just take note of their roofing systems when there is obvious damage, such as leakages and structural failure. Truth is, with regular assessment such issues are generally evaded.

Roofing assessments conserve you both cash and time and are among the many standard roofing maintenance practices. There are numerous factors that can trigger a roofing’s condition to degrade with time. These are the impacts property owners are least knowledgeable about because the indications are subtle and take time to show.: Weather aspects are the main cause of roofing system damage.
The weather slowly wears away and deteriorates the roofing material, and put pressure onto the roofing structure. Poor or lack of roof maintenance practices such as cleansing, painting, mold removal and snow scraping add to the wearing down of the roofing. Not all roofing experts are as good as promoted. Due to lack of ability or just negligence, a roofing system is improperly set up, impacting its efficiency as a roof and its durability to damage.
